LCD Viewing Angle

The basic principle behind LCD screens, as we all know, is that liquid crystal molecules are unique substances that refract light as it enters. At the same time, the liquid crystal molecules have unique electrical properties, which can be deflected under the action of electric field. Combining these two properties, with the help of a polarizer, one can use an electric field to control the brightness of the light, refined down to each pixel, which can control the brightness of each cell. So as to achieve the display effect.

LCD Viewing Angle

Ⅰ. The principle of light emission of LCD display screen

The most basic principle that people use liquid crystals for display is that because liquid crystals are unique substances, light is refracted when it enters the liquid crystals.

Ⅱ. Viewing the LCD display screen from different angles

The LCD display screen provided by industrial monitor suppliers is a backlight type display device, and the light it emits is provided by a backlight on the back of the LCD module, which inevitably results in the LCD screen having only one optimal viewing Angle – the forward view Angle. When you look at it from other angles, because the backlight can penetrate the pixel next to it and enter the human eye, it can cause color distortion. True range is the Angle of view. The intensity of light entering the human eye is different when viewed from the center of the screen versus when viewed from the side. For the same painting, one part is light and one part is dark, that is the contrast is not the same. According to the definition of viewing Angle, the corresponding viewing screen Angle is vertical viewing Angle within the acceptable contrast range of human eyes.

At present, as long as the LCD industrial monitors have a horizontal viewing angle of 120 degrees and a vertical viewing angle of 140 degrees, they can meet the application needs of most users.

The latest industrial LCD panel has a wide viewing Angle of 140 degrees up and down and 150 degrees left and right, reducing the inconvenience caused by too small viewing Angle. Of course, this performance isn’t comparable to CRT displays that approach 180 degrees, but it’s good enough for most applications.
